Map of 19th & 20th areas

Homeowners,
This fall you received a letter regarding the Mad River Corp land that was being offered for sale.
The attached map shows the areas in green, blue, yellow, and orange that were described in the letter. The area in red is the MRG Coop land. The 20th hole area is the green area higher than (to the left of) the dotted line. The legend describes each parcel.

Cell Phones

Hope everyone is aware that we now have cell phone coverage around the area. There is a device on top of the Birdcage that enables use.

VOTE FOR HOMEOWNER'S FOR MRG TRUSTEE

Hello Everyone, This message is being sent to the MRG Homeowner’s, if you are not a voting shareholder of the Co-Op you can disregard or read for informational purposes. Everyone can help pass the message whether a shareholder or not though.

The election packet for the Co-op was mailed to all shareholders on March 1st. I’m writing to urge you to cast your ballots in time to be counted at the annual meeting on Saturday, April 5th. This year we have two homeowner’s running for election and I’d like to urge you to consider voting for both of them.

Betsy Hopf Jondro is running for an In-State position. As her resume states her family built here in the 50’s; she was raised on this mountain. She has been a key player in the Single Chair Campaign and has worked tirelessly for the success of the co-op. I strongly suggest you take the time to vote for Betsy, and keep the homeowner’s interest protected on our Board. If you don’t vote for anyone else, you should still cast your ballot for Betsy.

Also running is Bruce Depper a homeowner since 2000 with a construction background that would be very helpful on the board. Bruce is running as an out-of-state candidate.

Please take the few minutes it takes to vote and get that ballot mailed today.

If you think this would be helpful to another shareholder please feel free to pass it on. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to e-mail or call me at 802-496-2966.

Thanks you very much.

1974 MRG Homes Map by B. C. Stein

Hello Everyone,
Shown below is a jpg picture scanned from the 1974 drawing of the homes at Mad River Glen. This drawing is the one that contains the original Letters and Numbers that we use to identify each home. We refer to that ID in the homeowner mailings, and in our ongoing home ownership history that Hans Hopf created several years ago. I'm pretty sure you can right click on it and download it to your PC and then view it in an enlarged form etc. If you print it, it best fits on legal sized paper. If you have any problems downloading it, send me an e-mail and I'll forward you the file. Bob Rogers

Welcome Homeowners!

Recently a homeowner asked to use our existing e-mail listing to contact the membership. The request prompted a discussion among your officers about how to handle requests such as this in the future. We all agreed that contacting each other periodically with relevant area events, items for sale or houses to rent would probably be of interest to all of us at one time or another, but we also all agreed that we didn’t want to clog up our in-boxes with e-mails. Thus we've decided to set up a blog site for the Mad River Homeowner’s Association.

For those that are not aware a blog is a website that permits posting of information and a way to have open conversations without using email. The officers have all signed up to post items and will be doing so in the coming months. Our intent would be to post meeting minutes, the by-laws, and upcoming meeting notices as well as officer contact information. We’d like to open it to all homeowner’s to list information using the guidelines below. The officers will periodically review the information, delete old or obsolete postings and basically police the site and make sure we are all using it for the intended purposes.

All homeowner's are invited to post relevant information concerning MRG and the MR Valley such as related events (festivals, restaurants, theater, etc) or items (such as homes for sale or rent) A review of businesses offering services to MRG homeowner's would be appreciated. (Construction, plumbers, electricians, trash removal, etc) Items for sale should be removed after 30 days or when sold. Items for sale should have an appropriate association with MRG or the Valley.

All homeowners will receive an invitation from Blogger to become a part of the blog. Simply click on the link within that email and follow the instructions. You will be required to open an account with blogger. This is absolutely free and safe. Once you are signed up, just follow the instructions provided to post to the blog. You may also upload pictures (jpeg format) and even Utube movies!
You do not have to sign up to view the blog or post comments to blog postings. If you would like to make a post to the blog yourself though, you will have to sign up.

Most of all, the blog should be a fun place for us to communicate with each other and share experiences. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the blog and on the mountain!

MRG Housecleaning service?

Hi all,
I am looking for a recommendation for a reliable and thorough house-cleaning service/person. My guess is that we are not the only ones in need of such services.
thanks, Alex Hamilton
